The newcomer in the ‘business ruggedized’ product line addresses of Panasonic mobile workers who need to enter data and send the road. It has a multi-touch touch screen weighs about 1.5 kilograms.

The business notebook can also be used as tablet PC. On its underside, the CF-C1 has a wrist strap so you can hold the device without a secure storage area with one hand and operate with the other. Depending on configuration, has the new CF-C1 through a MultiTouch-enabled digitizer screen or a multi-touch resistive touch screen that can be operated even with gloves.

The specially reinforced triple joint of the CF-C1 is to exclude the frequent changes from notebook to tablet mode, a risk of breakage and to ensure that the operation does not yield to the touch. With its twin-battery system, which allows to change batteries in operation, running the notebook, according to manufacturer’s specification for up to ten hours.

The device is based on with an Intel Core i5-520M vPro processor fitted (2.4 GHz, Turbo Boost ‘on up to 2.93 GHz, Intel Smart Cache 3 MB). For mobile data transmission occurs, the Toughbook CF-C1 with an optional 3G internet connectivity, in addition to the standard integrated 802.11 a / b / g / n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-C1 with multitouch-enabled digitizer screen will be available through selected distributors starting in July 2010, the version with multi-touch resistive touch screen will follow in September. The prices for the Toughbook will be between about 1,800 and 2,000 euros (model with digitizer screen).
